About us
Ecu-
An ecu remap or chip tune is the best way of maximising your vehicles potential and we can cover the following:
Personal cars / vans
Company cars / vans
Race cars
Motorhomes
We also offer a wide range of accessories to compliment a remap or chip tune, so please take a look at what we have on offer
How it works
There are 4 methods of tuning: obd, boot mode, bdm and chipping
OBD
This the simplest way of tuning. Most vehicles manufactured from 1999 can be programmed through the diagnostic port as the ecu memory is reflashable
We connect to your ecu through the obd port
We then read your ecu to download your original file
We then modify the various maps contained within the file
We then upload the new tuned file to your ecu
Boot Mode
Some vehicles cannot be programmed through the diagnostic port even though they were manufactured after 1999. A simple lack of communications is the main cause. vehicles that have had trial software from other tuners may also need to be programmed via bootmode.
We connect our bench cable direct to the ecu
We then boot the ecu using a probe to read
We then modify the various maps contained within the file

BDM
Some ecus haven’t been developed to work with our obd equipment but have bdm points. These are communications points inside the ecu which allows us to read the ecu direct.
We connect our bdm tool to the bdm points. We then read the ecu
We then modify the various maps contained within the file
We then upload the new tuned file onto the ecu
Chipping
Older cars aren’t flashable by any of the above methods and need to be chipped. To do this we need to open the ecu and desolder the chip inside. Some chips can be reprogrammed but others have to be replaced.
First we heat the legs of the chip and remove it
We then read the original files off the chip
We then modify the various maps contained within the file
We then program the chip with the new tuned file
We then solder the chip back onto the ecu board
